The Golden Spread Council, Boy Scouts of America consists of a 27 county geographical area in the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles.  Scouting needs are served from an administrative office at 401 Tascosa Road in Amarillo, known as the Scout Service Center.  Telephone number (806) 358-6500, Fax (806) 358-7470. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays excluded. The Scout Shop is open on Saturday from 8:30 to 12:00. But closed on Saturdays in July and August. This administrative office handles all event registrations, processing of membership applications, camping reservations plus a whole host of training aids and audiovisuals designed to assist volunteer leaders in understanding their roles in the Scouting program.
